Russia: Adoption Program
Small World has been placing children for adoption from Russia since 1994. The face of adoption has changed in Russia over the years but one thing remains, children are finding families through Small World’s ministry. Second only to China, approximately 5,500 children from Russia are placed into American homes each year.
Our Russia program is in association with our partner agencies. Families wishing to adopt from Russia can expect a referral in approximately 8-12 months after your dossier is completed. Families can expect a referral of a child 6 months to 18 months old.
Throughout the adoption process your child is cared for in an orphanage. Small World’s experienced staff will lead you through the process step by step. Our representatives in Russia are English speaking and are dedicated to making your trip to Russia an informative and memorable experience.
