Citizenship Through Re-Adoption for Internationally Adopted Children
We recently received a phone call from an adoptive mother, whose child was adopted from Ukraine in the early 90’s. Her child is now getting ready to enroll in college and needs some proof of US citizenship. We could not provide such proof, because the citizenship process takes place after the adoption and is solely the responsibility of the parents.
